News from the Girls
4There are a lot of new items sent in by our girls which are posted on the GG News page. Be sure to read about Jean Kammerer's great January vacation in South American along with some beautiful photos. Read also about Mabel Wallace's exciting Mississippi River Boat Cruise. Read about Macon Wells' 80th Birthday celebration. Her daughter in South Carolina sent us this information along with some photos of Macon and the four generations present for this celebration.
There are other interesting items on this page including some new jokes, inspirational pieces, remembering 1957, Grandma's cures by Kay Fulmer, and more.
4We are pleased to report that Avonel Horne came through her mastectomy with flying colors and is doing extremely well. Our prayers have been answered. She is off this week to Brunswick to visit with relatives there. 4Kay Fulmer has had surgery on one hand which is now in a cast. When the cast comes off, she will be undergoing quite a bit of physical therapy. When this hand is healed, she plans to have the other hand done.
4Harvey and I shall be taking off on Monday for our annual trek to Braves Spring Training in Orlando. Hate to miss this GG Luncheon, but our reservations have been made for quite some time. I shall take my laptop with me so I can keep up with my e-mails and web sites.
For the past three weeks my computer has undergone major surgery, and I was unable to update any of the seven web sites which I do. After a complete nervous breakdown, we discovered that Nathan -- our tech guy -- had set the new firewall/security system so tight on our wireless network that my outgoing files to the servers could not get out. After they made a few minor adjustments, the uploading to the remote servers seems to be working fine again.
