Dear Golden Girls

As you know, Jack and Sue Moore celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, August 27, in Toccoa. Due to a prior commitment, I was unable to attend. I have prepared a couple of web pages in honor of this great event.  Take a look at www.goldengirls03.org/Sue_GoldenAnniversary.htm .  Congratulations, Sue!

For a trip down memory lane about 1955, the year that Jack and Sue were married, take a look at www.goldengirls03.org/1955.html

I have especially enjoyed putting this one together since that was the year that I graduated from Florida State the first time. It was also the year that I married my first husband and Lisa's father who passed away a long time ago. What wonderful memories!

As many of your know, Monday, August 29, is Nell Foster's big 80th birthday. She was given orders to her wonderful family not to do anything special like the big splash they did when she turned 75.  So, I have just put together a little e-greeting card for her.  Take a look at www.goldengirls03.org/Birthday_Greetings.htm.  Please note that Nell has a brand new email address: nelliegrey@comcast.net   (So glad that she is off AOL!)

I shall be leaving on September 7 for Nashville where I shall be attending the National Federation of Republican Women's Biennial Convention at the beautiful Opryland Hotel. Among other items of business, we shall be electing national officers to serve for the next two years. Beverly Davis of Utah, who is  a long time friend and nominee for President, asked me to build her campaign web site which I was delighted to do. If you like, take a look at www.BeverlyDavis4NfrwPres.org .  It has been a real challenge to construct a site which is being viewed in all 50 states.  Does make me a little nervous. ;- )

The September 20 luncheon will be at Max and Erma's near Gwinnett Place Mall with Agnes Nelson hosting.  Read more on the Events page of our Golden Girls web site.   Agnes sent the following driving directions:

I-85 north to Steve Reynolds, left across interstate;
continue on Steve Reynolds, cross Old Norcross Road
and turn right into restaurant parking lot.

I-85 south to Pleasant Hill Road; right on Pleasant
Hill to Old Norcross Road; left on Old Norcross Road,

Hope to see you on September 20 at Max and Erma's.
